Thomas Bytnerowicz studies the feedbacks between global change and nitrogen and carbon cycling by using a combination of experimental, observational, and theoretical approaches. He completed his PhD at Columbia University, where his dissertation examined some of the mechanisms that determine latitudinal patterns of nitrogen fixation and nitrogen fixing tree abundance.
