Rhett Butler, founder of environmental journalism website Mongabay, is coming to UT Austin!

Rhett will hold three public events on campus. On Tuesday, September 12th at 11:00 am in NHB 1.720, Rhett will give a talk on "Science communication lessons from 20+ years of running Mongabay."

Then, on Wednesday night, September 13th, at 7:00 pm in DMC 2.106, Rhett will discuss "Reporting from Nature's Frontline: the state of environmental journalism."

Finally, on Thursday September 14th at 4:00 pm in NHB 1.720, Rhett will give an update on "The state of the world's tropical forests."

These events are sponsored by the Texas Tropical Network, with support from the UT Green Fund, Fara Coffee, the UT Brazil Center, the School of Journalism and Media, and the UT Biodiversity Center. We hope you will join us for one or all of the events.

Rhett also has a limited amount of time to take meetings; email Erik Iverson by clicking here.
