About
Alumna and former physician Lorraine "Casey" Stengl gifted the University the Stengl-Wyer Endowment and Texas Field Station Network site, the Stengl Lost Pines Biological Station. These gifts promote the wonder of the natural world and conservation of Texas wildlife, land, and nature.
The endowment is one of the largest in the history of the College of Natural Sciences and support one of the top programs in the country for research in ecology and evolutionary biology.
The Stengl-Wyer Scholars and Fellows Cohort Program is supported by a Stengl-Wyer Cohort Faculty Mentor. Professor Hans Hofmann has served in this role since 2023, and facilitates monthly luncheons and career development opportunities for the cohort.
